This notice explains how Fowler’s Webworks handles personal information when you visit this website, make an enquiry or become a customer.
In short: we use your information to answer enquiries, prepare quotes, deliver agreed services and run the business. We do not sell your personal information or use it for third-party advertising.
1. Who is responsible for your information
Fowler’s Webworks is a trading name operated by Fowlers Fastfit Ltd. Fowlers Fastfit Ltd is the data controller for the personal information described in this notice.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you deal with us, we may collect:
- your name, business name and contact details;
- the service you are interested in and the contents of your enquiry;
- project instructions, feedback, approvals, account details and support correspondence;
- billing, payment and transaction records; and
- basic technical information such as IP address, browser information and security logs generated when the website is delivered.
Please do not send sensitive personal information through the enquiry form.
3. How and why we use it
UK data protection law requires us to have a lawful basis for each use of personal information.
- Enquiries and quotes: to reply, understand your requirements and take steps at your request before entering a contract.
- Customer work: to provide, manage and support services under our contract with you.
- Business administration and security: to maintain records, operate and protect our website, prevent misuse, improve our service and establish or defend legal claims. We rely on our legitimate interests where they are not overridden by your rights.
- Legal and financial records: to meet tax, accounting and other legal obligations.
We do not currently send marketing emails. If that changes, we will provide an appropriate choice and an easy way to opt out.
4. Who receives your information
We use trusted suppliers where needed to operate the business. They may process information only for the relevant service and under their own legal and security obligations. These include:
- Formspree, which receives and forwards submissions from the enquiry form;
- Vercel, which hosts and delivers this website;
- email, storage, domain, payment and other IT providers used for customer work; and
- professional advisers, insurers, regulators or public authorities where disclosure is reasonably necessary or legally required.
We do not sell or rent personal information.
5. International transfers
Some technology suppliers, including Formspree and Vercel, may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where UK data protection law requires it, we rely on an adequacy decision or contractual safeguards designed to protect transferred information. You can contact us for more information about the safeguards relevant to your information.
6. How long we keep information
We keep information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose collected:
- enquiries that do not become projects are normally deleted within 12 months;
- customer, project, contract and support records are normally kept for the relationship and up to six years afterwards;
- invoices and accounting records are normally kept for six years after the relevant financial year; and
- technical logs are kept for the period reasonably required for hosting, troubleshooting and security.
We may keep information longer where the law requires it or where it is needed for an active dispute or legal claim.
7. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to ask us to:
- provide a copy of your personal information;
- correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- delete information or restrict how it is used;
- provide information you gave us in a portable format; or
- stop processing based on legitimate interests.

8. Complaints
Please contact us first if you have a privacy concern so we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
9. Cookies and website technology
This website does not currently use advertising or analytics cookies. The hosting and form services may process basic technical information needed to deliver the website, prevent spam and maintain security. If non-essential cookies are introduced, this notice and the website’s consent controls will be updated first.
10. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice when our services, suppliers or legal obligations change. The latest version will always be published on this page.
